The Highlander at Radford University is a planned upscale, full-service hotel in Radford, Virginia. The Highlander is being constructed on the southwest corner of the main campus at the intersection of Tyler Avenue and Calhoun Street. This project was a joint effort between Radford University and its Radford University Foundation, Inc. to create an opportunity to, “improve the local economy and provide a beautiful place to gather and celebrate the University and the region,” said Chairman Christopher Huther ’88, J.D., Radford University Foundation Board of Directors.

The Highlander is a six-story, 88,000 square-feet hotel and conference center. The hotel will house 124 rooms and will provide amenities such as a lobby level visitors center, a coffee shop, a rooftop level steakhouse and bar which includes a rooftop terrace that will overlook campus, a 500 square-foot private dining room for up to 20 people, a 4,000 square-foot ballroom/conference space that will accommodate 250-300 people with an additional 2,000 square-feet of pre-function space.
